WV-HEDW

WV-HEDW is een bloeiende amateurvoetbalvereniging gevestigd in Amsterdam, Nederland. De club heeft een rijke geschiedenis die teruggaat naar de fusie van Wilhelmina Vooruit (WV) en HEDW. Na de fusie vond de club zijn thuishaven op “Sportpark Voorland” in 1956, waar tevens een monument werd opgericht ter nagedachtenis aan de omgekomen leden van beide voormalige verenigingen.

In 1997 moest WV-HEDW echter het veld op Sportpark Voorland verlaten vanwege geplande woningbouw. Deze gelegenheid werd aangegrepen om een nieuwe, ruimere locatie te betrekken op “Sportpark Middenmeer”. Met behulp van een gezonde financiële situatie kon de club in januari 1998 een prachtig clubgebouw realiseren. In de daaropvolgende jaren werden in 2003 en 2008 extra kleedkamers bijgebouwd om het groeiende aantal elftallen goed te kunnen huisvesten.

De sterke groei van de club in het begin van de 21e eeuw vereiste verdere uitbreiding, en in 2015 werd een geheel nieuw paviljoen genaamd “de Voorzet” in gebruik genomen. Met in totaal 18 kleedkamers, opslag-, vergader- en ontvangstruimtes kon WV-HEDW nu ruimte bieden aan ongeveer 100 elftallen en hun gasten. Naast het kunstgras-hoofdveld met kurk, beschikt de club over nog eens 4 kunstgrasvelden en 2 grasvelden.
